After having started a kitesurfing school in Tarifa at spring 2008, this year it was time to create a second school in Dakhla in the south of Morocco.
The school in Dakhla is open all year round, the one in Tarifa as well...Escape the autumn and the winter and come to Tarifa or Dakhla to enjoy ideal conditions to learn kitesurfing or to improve your level...

If you would like to learn or to improve your level, well i would be very happy to teach you...Tarifa is also the best spot of Europe for kitesurfing, it is always windy.

So i have been busy lately with the preparation of the school, and also with some photo work. I have been kiting also, enjoying the poniente wind, as that is what we have been having non stop for three weeks now. The levante wind will come back this week, so it will be time to go out with the small kites...

I have started photography at the end of last year, and yes, i am getting more and more involved in this activity. My speciality is of course kite and windsurf photography, which is for me a way of mixing sport and visual arts.

I have been pretty busy these last months. Still kiting, especially in the waves. I went to Essaouira in Morocco in august fro the Kpwt step, and yes, we got some good clean waves. I always enjoy this spot called Moulay nearby Essaouira.

In Tarifa these days we have been having some nice waves, with poniente, so that was good to surf here again, because the summer was mainly flat.

Kpwt New Caledonia contest

New Caledonia: sunshine, nice temperature, constant and strong wind for my JN Easy Rider 7m, flat water, big reef waves, the ideal for freestyle and waveriding kitesurfing. In this paradise island I won the speed crossing event, finished third in the waves category and fourth in freestyle. So for 2006 I am KPWT vice world champion in the waveriding and race speed crossing disciplines. In Ouano, the wave spot, conditions were pretty radical: 2m waves the first day and then 3m the second day...And of course, different sections in which the wave was becoming a nice tube, what a bowl !! Guincho Kpwt Wave Master

In Guincho in Portugal we had some awsome conditions...but only the two days just before the event!!! With 2m/2m50 of waves and sideshore wind for 7m kite, we were having a lot of fun in this impressive spot surrounded by massive cliffs. Unfortunately, we had only 1m/1m50 of waves and capricious wind conditions for the competition, anyway, I am quite happy to finish second of this event. Viva el speed: speed world champion title at Fuerte

Well, that is the last step in Fuerteventura of the Speed Pkra Tour 2006 and that is now official: I am speed world champion 2006!!! After a hard week on the spot of Sotavento, with wind between 25 and 40 knots everyday, I am going to celebrate this title in the party tent "la carpa" the whole night...-))Photo: copyright Jerome Taub/Aloha Kite Productions

Moroccan style: news from the Kpwt Essaouira

I was in Essouira in july for the Kpwt competition, a great spot close from my home in Tarifa. We have got good conditions with wind everyday between 25 and 40 knots, and until 1m50 of waves in Moulay. I was out using my JN Easy Rider kites 7,5m and 5m. We were enjoying life over there with the wild and preserved landscapes of Morocco and its welcoming lifestyle. As for the competition, I am really happy to finish first in the race speed crossing discipline, second in the waves and sixth in freestyle.

Mondial du Vent Leucate

I have just got first during the Speed Pkra steps in Port St Louis and in Leucate. Since I hace also won Namibia earlier this year, and with the discard system, I am already Speed World Champion for the year 2006!!! -) Here I am on the cool run of Leucate, with the famous cliff of La Franqui in the background...Second day of race, 45 knots of wind, flat water, full speed...
